The Covid-19 pandemic has placed the entire tourism industry under immense financial strain. And in that Travel Industry which covers all four forms of Travel has been severely devastated especially for those it has been a livelihood in an in formal sector is the Cab Owners.
What has unfolded around the world in the past six months is unprecedented, In this time of uncertainty, all industries are reeling but it is the tourism and hospitality sector that has been hit the most given all the border closures, travel restrictions and lockdowns. Airlines, cruise operators and hotels are seeing instant effects of the pandemic.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected the taxi and limousine services market across many countries including India. Many people have been suffering to pay the loan and to pay the yearly insurances, which by force makes them sell their vehicles.

The Indian government also declared lockdown once the country started seeing an increase in coronavirus patients across the country. This has highly impacted the earnings of taxi drivers, because in lockdown, ride hailing services are also restricted to operate. Only a few taxi services are allowed to provide emergency services with proper approval. For instance, Ola Cabs, a ride hailing cab service company in India, requested the government for loan waivers for drivers, and a delay in tax payments, so that they can make up for lost income due to the coronavirus impact. But the request is still pending which by the way many small owners owning one or two vehicles are forced to take some extreme measures.
The future still seems to be uncertain for many industries along with the Travel and Tourism Industry but they ( other sectors ) have started to make some movement to see a future.
The future seems uncertain but the travel industry is picking the “New Normal formula” and to provide sanitized vehicles and drivers with hygienic procedures, to ensure that they would give the confidence to tell people indirectly….. travelling has become more safe now and we are ready to provide the service.
